Inspiration

I GOT MY INSPIRATION AFTER SCROLLING ON PINTEREST. THE APP HAD SHOWN ME SOME AMAZING DRAGON TATTOOS, AND I THOUGHT "WOW! THIS WOULD LOOK SUPER DOPE ON A BLAZER". SO I PUT IT ON A BLAZER, THEN A SKIRT, AND SO ON.

I ENDED UP RESEARCHING THE CHINESE DRAGON TO UNDERSTAND WHERE IT CAME FROM AND WHAT IT STOOD FOR.

THE MEANING BEHIND THE DRAGON IS THIS:

The Chinese dragon stands for incredible luck, prosperity, abundance, consistent success and high achievement, said to represent potent propitious powers, especially control over rainfall, floods, and hurricanes. The dragon is still a very popular symbol that stands for valiance, heroism, boldness, self-confidence, power, excellence, perseverance, nobility, vitality and happiness. It brings about physical as well as spiritual well-being and strength. It is related to the spring season and is representative of auspiciousness and new beginnings.

THOUGH I'M NOT PAINTING THE EXACT CHINESE DRAGON THATS WHERE THE IDEA CAME FROM, SO I MUST GIVE IT CREDIT. I LIKE WHAT THE DRAGON REPRESENTS, SO I PAINT IT FOR THAT REASON. THERE ARE SOME TRADITIONAL CHINESE CHARACTERS ON A FEW OF THE PIECES THAT TRANSLATE TO THE WORDS OF THE DRAGONS MEANING.
